These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website and services of Yvan Igbinedion DBA The Great Oak Hardwood Floors ("we," "us," or "our"). By using our website or requesting our services, you agree to these Terms.

Our Services

We provide hardwood floor installation, repair, sanding and refinishing, prefinished hardwood installation, and stair installation and refinishing. We work on hardwood only — we do not install or service carpet, vinyl, LVP/LVT, laminate, tile, or stone. We serve Oakland, California and the Greater Bay Area.

Estimates and Pricing

Any estimate provided through our instant estimate wizard is a planning range only and not a quote or binding offer. Every floor is different. We confirm exact pricing after a free in-home consultation. A written estimate, once provided, is valid for the period stated in that estimate.

Scheduling and Work

Scheduling is subject to availability. Hardwood installation and refinishing require proper acclimation and cure time; we will not rush these steps. We are not an emergency-service trade and do not guarantee 24/7 availability. Work is performed during business hours, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide safe and reasonable access to the work area.
• Remove fragile or valuable items from the work area before we begin.
• Disclose known conditions (moisture, subfloor issues, asbestos, lead) that may affect the work.
• Follow care instructions provided after the work is complete.

SMS Consent

By checking our SMS consent boxes, you separately consent to receive marketing and/or non-marketing text messages as described in our Privacy Policy. Consent is not a condition of any service and is never bundled with acceptance of these Terms. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount paid for the specific work giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Website Use

You may use our website for lawful purposes only. You agree not to misuse the site, submit false information, or attempt to disrupt its operation. All content on this site is owned by The Great Oak Hardwood Floors and may not be reproduced without permission.

Third-Party Links

Our website may link to third-party sites (such as Google Maps and Yelp). We are not responsible for the content or practices of those sites.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts located in Alameda County, California.
