Wood is delivered early and allowed to reach equilibrium with your home's moisture and humidity before installation. No shortcuts, no cupping six months later.
We weave new boards into old so the seam disappears — matching species, cut, grain and color, then blending the finish across the whole field.
We sand coarse-to-fine through a full grit sequence so the floor is truly smooth — no scratch marks telegraphing through the finish.
The finish is already on the boards, so there's no sanding dust, no finish fumes, and no days of cure time. You walk on it sooner.
Stair treads take more punishment than any floor. We use solid stock, fasten them properly, and finish hard so they hold up to daily traffic.

We've been working on hardwood floors across the Greater Bay Area since 1986. We refinish, repair, and install hardwood across San Rafael, from downtown out to Terra Linda and Point San Pedro.
